Avobezone is a synthetic UV absorber that is a good UV-A (>320nm) type UV absorber that can block UVA across the entire wavelength range (320-400nm). It is an efficient broad-spectrum oil soluble UVA filter that, when combined with other UVB sunscreen agents, provides full UVA and UVB protection for the prevention of photoinduced skin cancer.
